Its an image effect that does screen space toony shadows from artificial light source(just a vector3 for light direction) as seen in every cartoon based on Nvidia Toon Shadows shader.
It is currently SM2.0 with one pass(hard shadows only), a medium range effect which is also suitable for mobile usage(newer devices).
There is also going to be a SM3.0 with softer shadows.
Note: The character model and the scene is BaseMale from dogzerx which is free in the assetstore.
Note2: This doesnt do the toony colors effect, it only does the toony shadows after you do the toony effect yourself.
