With all due respect, but as far as “MUST HAVE” unity assets go, this list does not hold up to its promise.
What about people like me who are about 85% an artist and only about 15% a programmer – two of your “MUST HAVE” assets are art assets, which I have zero interest in because I create my own art.
What about people who only want to do 2D games in Unity? What about people who want to create a game with pixel graphics? Or a game that is very low-res? What if someone actually wants to create a 3D game in this style, but the setting is a desert? These assets you listed (maybe not all, but a good chunk of them) are completely useless. At the very least, none of them are essential in any way, shape, or form.
If you had titled your video like “5 Unity assets you might want to have” or “5 Unity assets that have really helped me”, then I would have never said anything negative about it, but as it is, this huge blanket statement feels very poorly thought through.
Hmm you guys seem to be right actually, I dedicated the video more towards my subscribers, and since they’re more into the kind of assets I use while making my videos I thought the video would be a good share of info. I’ll think through the title again and change it up to something more suiting. Thank you for the feedback!
Edit: I reworked the title on my video as well as on this thread, thank you guys very much for the support! I guess I got caught up on my own fanbase and tried advertising the video in a bad way by doing so. I hope it looks better now.
