TopWare Interactive apparently scams indies

From Gamasutra. A publisher completely ignores a lawyer-made contract (so we’re not talking about “ohhh I didn’t see the small texts”) and just steals money from indie devs for 3 years, since German laws (where the publisher is based) apparently don’t give a f**k. I suggest reading the whole article because it becomes more and more absurd.

If it’s true, and I don’t see why it shouldn’t, it’s really bad. The publisher the dev is talking about is TopWare Interactive. I hope this gets widely reported and a shitstorm buries them, though I’m not very positive about it.

So the courts are taking the publisher’s side?

In theory it seems they’re not taking any side now, but are delaying things enormously by allowing absurd things (like the publisher saying there were other deals made only by phone and without written proof - which is a thing that is absurd even to simply consider). But yes, delaying things enormously in a case like this already means taking the side of the publisher.
