Total game revamp or not?

In my zombie wave game, i have a whole shop system set up. When you kill something, depending on it’s level, you get so much money. Then you can spend it on ammo for guns and use the scroll wheel to select them. My question is, do you like that system, or a different version where the zombies randomly drop different weapons which you get for lets say 10 seconds, then go back to normal. Thanks!

It depends a lot on the type of game your trying to make but I would suggest keeping the shop system. Reasons being that its easier to control the pace of the game by programming $ value drops from enemies rather then try balance a more detailed loot system, players could possibly see items they can’t afford urging them to continue playing to get them and having a break from the main playing allows time to calm down and snap out of the waves of enemies. Only a few points but like I said ultimately it depends on the game and style your going for.
