I have modelled my asset in FormZ but it doesn’t have UV mapping capabilities as such. My plan was to map my stuff in Blender and export but Blender doesn’t import any format I’ve tried correctly. It’s a large mesh and I have tried obj, fbx and 3ds but none of them work. Looking around Blender forums there does seem to be some issues with Blender for Mac and certainly obj import. So my question is can I do anything like cubic mapping and cylindrical mapping in Unity. My texture requirements are quite straightforward but I’m guessing Unity wants a properly UV’d mesh to begin with?
