Trail renderer twisted/broke in Local space

my trail renderer has weird twisted waves.Please find the attached Image.
I am using it in local space,as i wanted the wave to be vertical.There is no problem in view(Alignment).

The position of broken waves changes on changing the position of camera.
i am new to unity, and might be missing something,please help me solve this problem.

i have search a tons of answers but could not find any solution.

using unity 5.5.2f1

reported it and it was a bug! Will be fixed in future updates.

I am having the same issue. Did you ever hear back about this? Is it fixed?
Is there a setting I need to change?
