Train - Cognition: Made in 48 Hours

Hey Everyone,

I recently competed in a 48 hour game design contest and would like everyone’s feedback.

Answer these questions to let me know what you think:

  • What did you think of the art?
  • Was the gameplay Fun?
  • Was the story decent?
  • For a game being made in 48 hours what do you think?
  • Did you enjoy shooting hats off of enemies? (because we did)

Things to note are the following:

  • There are a lot of bugs but what can you expect for a game made in 48 hours
  • I’d love to pursue this game further but I need some feedback

Game Link: Train - Cognition

I like the concept but it needs a lot of work to turn it into a full fledged game.

  • You could fall off the train but it wouldn’t be considered a death (so you had to reload the game).
  • When I die I don’t want to watch the intro every time (maybe just the first time).
  • I think you need to have some kind of upgrade system unlock better weapons, more health, have more enemy types etc.
  • When I was standing at the front of the train (close to driver - I was able to last a really long time because the other spawners were so far away I was able to pop them off before they got close).

Pretty cool, I thought it was fun. Obviously it will/should have more levels. For this stage in development I thought it was great.

Glad Everyone likes it. Of course there will be big changes need for it to become a full game but I think this is a really good start especially for a game made in 48 hours.
