I wanted to see if train physics in Unity is something that would interest developers? Something akin to a drag and drop system for simulated trains in Unity. I was considering working on a system for the Asset Store.

That looks amazing, and it’s a shame they didn’t do more with the trains. Seems like you only really encounter a few enemy trains, and yours which you can’t manipulate in any way.
I would be interested for sure.
I haven’t played the game so I haven’t interacted with them firsthand. I will say they look pretty solid physics-wise in the YouTube videos I’ve seen.
Most of the game is spent moving about the city, either on foot or in carriages (which just feel weird to drive). You occasionally climb on to enemy trains to fight them or do a decoupling, and you occasionally ride your own (it’s a base, so you’ll return to upgrade something or collect cash), but most of the time is not spent interacting with the trains.
Having created several add-ons and mods for MS Train Simulator way back in the day, I’ve had a soft spot for trains for a while now. Tinkering around with a train setup in Unity is something I’d be interested in trying out, for sure.
I would also like to see how this is comming.
That would be great, Do you have an estimated time frame that you are targeting?
