I’ve been trying to create cinemachine setup for a top down game and I just can’t get it to work. I mentioned this in another post but that didn’t get answered so I’m trying again in a new thread.
Using the Body=Transposer (Lock To Target With World Up) and Aim=Nothing, the camera should track the player. Movement of the player target in the X-Z plane and the camera tracks it. If the player jumps so does the camera - no I don’t want that, so I increase the Y damping to 20. Now when the player moves in the +Z direction the camera lags behind and the player is lost from view!! This is Y damping affecting the character Z movement - bananas!! Even worse Z damping has no effect on Z movement!!
Ideally I need a Framing Transposer with dead zones, but the axes are just as confused in that and setting dead zones give all kinds of weird camera movement.
Does anyone know what’s up with the Transposer?
