Tree editor in unity3d

what have happend with my tree editor

“What happened?” indeed! If you figure out how to reproduce it please submit a bug with the repro steps.

Hi there, my Tree editor does that exact same thing on my laptop
I only have to click the editor at anytime it always produces that above image is totally unusable.
If i stay in the tree editor move the mouse to other parts of the interface it begins to corrupt there also.
System specs:-
HP530 - Core Duo T2600@2.16Ghz
2GB ram
Intel GMA 945 VGA - (Possible cause of the problem?)
Very recent clean install of Win7 32 bit.

No problems at all with Unity 2.6.1 no other corruption problems found with any other Unity 3 features.
It certainly dosn’t like something tho

that cpu to dvi adapter is indeed horrible (not worth calling gpu) and could very well have an impact.
looking for driver updates potentially helps although I think that this one does not even have win7 drivers at all only xp driverst hat run on vista+ in xpdm mode

I agree, I’m just using the laptop when out about, it runs fine on my PC.
Just very strange it only happens in the tree editor.
All drivers are the latest out there don’t experience any other issues except that.
Even tho its only using the crappy GMA, Unity runs surprisingly well.

sure its the tree editor only? did you try stramits shader editor etc? because it could potentially be related to the node editor in general

Ahh, yes it happens in stramits too, so yes it exactly relating to what you said.
When you come out of Stramits or the tree editor everything returns to normal.

I think i have for bad computer for unity 3 but unity 2.6 run fine

Dispite my joy for unity3 releasing (because unity is my all time favourite program ever created on the pc) I think it was some what of a mistake to release it so soon, thats why i and rejecting the urge to download it because i still use 2.6 as we speak. As for the problem I see above, well… It doesnt look pretty, but it looks like it could be easily fixed, give ut a few days hopefully it should be fixed.

Darn, Happens with animation window too :frowning: Open it up corruption all over the place. Could live without the tree editor for a while but not the animation controls.

If you are experiencing this bug please report a bug report from within Unity. Bug reports include system information which we need to figure out what’s happening here.

Bug report submitted…

Discovered another location where it happens every single time - When you click on 3D sound settings under audio source the problem also replicates there.

Better late than never: it was some Intel GPUs not liking the way we render some shaders in Unity Editor. Will be fixed in Unity 3.2 really soon.
