Trees are only visible if I am very close to them (Scene view)

My problem is simple: The trees disappear if I move away.

Is there a setting to change this?

Iā€™m assuming you mean the Terrain Trees. In your terrain settings (the gear icon in the inspector when you select your terrain), tweak the Tree Distance slider.
