Trigger Events in Race Game

Hi All!

I was wondering: How do Trigger events, when a car passes a certain point on a track.
I was thinking about using empty gameobjects, but how would I know when the car passes that point?
Is that a logical way of doing it, and if so, how do I do it? Or is there another way that works better?

Simply add a box collider to an empty gameObject crossing the finish line of your track.
Set the collider to isTrigger = true. Then add a script to the collider… which handles OnTriggerEnter
