Triple Gecko - classic Beat'em up

Started working on a beat’em up a few days ago, this is what I got now:

There’s three stages, each with it’s own boss. And there’s four different kind of enemies.

What do you think?

I like what you have so far. Nice art.
Hit reaction other than color flashing is - of course - needed.
Have you tested increasing the speed? It looks very Double Dragon like - and one of the main issues I disliked about Double Dragon and similar Beat’em ups - is the slo-mo-ness a lot of them share. Almost as if the hardware is causing fps slow down.
I’m sure I’m in the minority on this issue.

Your are right, hit animations are needed, but there’s none created yet.
Although the game is faster than what the gif shows, I’m using Double Dragon as a reference on several aspects of Triple Gecko.
