Trojan's were discovered

I recently found several Trojans in one of the folders The Bleeding Edge that was discovered by Comodo.

I cleaned the Trojans and afterwards the Unity Editor worked fine.

The areas that the Trojan seemed to attack was the Game Window and the Build and Run settings. When the Trojan was working I could not see the same objects in the Game Window but could see them when I built and ran the game.

The camera was effected as well so that when an explosion occurred the camera stopped right away even though

yield(WaitForSeconds) had been set to six seconds.

Other areas that were effected were the GUI Textures and GUI Text that would not appear normally because of the Trojan even though the scripting had not been changed as I was working on another section of the game that did not use the InGameGUI.

What is this “The Bleeding Edge” thing? Is it a Unity Extension?

“Bleeding edge technology is a category of technologies incorporating those so new that they could have a high risk.”
Also, I still dont get it. What do you mean by “Bleeding Edge folder”?

That was what I was asking. LOL.
Since he said "folder’, and there is no such thing as “The Bleeding Edge” in default Unity installation - I am assuming this is something coming from outside - maybe some obscure Unity extension perhaps? (Since it sounds like it only affects Unity)

Don’t know what bleeding edge is supposed to refer to. However, I found that Comodo is a firewall/antivirus of some sort.

EDIT: Ok update, I found that there is a bleeding edge framework in mono.

So I think what the OP is saying is that there is a virus in Unity mono which doesn’t make sense. If thats it then we can just ignore it.

Did you obtain this software legally? Doesn’t sound it. There is no such thing as a folder “The Bleeding Edge” in Unity-distributed software.

I believe he is referring to the GIT for Monodevelop for Unity. “Bleeding Edge” is one of the branches.

Looks like Comodo picked up a false positive and quarantined the file making Unity throw up a little.
