Trouble purchasing Unity iOS basic.

Trying to take advantage of the last day of the preorder discount, but the store is asking me for a serial number from which to upgrade from, despite not entering a serial number in the previous step to perform an upgrade.

Trying to purchase:

Unity free
+
iOS basic
= $300 (discount price)

Looked all over for a serial tied to my unity free but to no avail. Any assistance will be much appreciated.

Me too! And I tried downloading Unity 3 and activating it so I’d have a serial number to put in, since Unity 2.6 didn’t seem to have one, but the order page says serial not found.

same boat here

edit: can’t activate Unity 3 free yet and then can’t buy iOS basic at $300

when I try to manual activate Unity free using the license request file I get “The product activation system has denied activating the product. Please contact Unity support for further assistance.”

the license number I somewhat got for the 30 days Pro trial (starting with T3-) doesn’t work for buying iOS basic and the Pro trial itself stops working when I ask for Unity 3 free activation

I’m having the same problem.

Same here.

The purchase page listed Unity Pro as a requirement below iphone pro, but did not list it below IOS basic. I know the older version required Unity Pro; I had to sell a few things just to scrape together the $300 I’ll really be disappointed if it turns out that Unity Pro is required, as that’s far outside my budget.

Well, I DL the new Unity, which DOES have a serial number for the free version, but when I input that serial, the store says it’s not found…

Having the exactly same problem. Couldn’t purchase it from the page, downloaded and activated the latest version, input its serial number, and its not valid. Emailed sales, hopefully they’ll still give me the preorder price whenever my order can be processed…

At some point in the last few hours they changed the order page, I was able to purchase Unity iOS basic without a pre-existiong serial number just now. Hope they extend the pre-order pricing for anyone who couldn’t get it yesterday, though.

I’m very greatful to the crew at Unity for getting this fixed. I had submitted a ticket, but was getting worried I had misunderstood the licensing terms and that Unity Pro was required like it used to be.

I purchased Unity IOS basic this morning, and I couldn’t be happier.
