A couple of days ago I came across this Tweet and the wonderful tutorial that was made to achieve this effect. The tutorial is based on Amplify Shader Editor however, which I don’t have, so I thought I’d try and recreate it using URP and Shader Graph. After a lot of fiddling around I got it to do something, but I’m not nearly getting the intended result.
As you can see my primitive tree is bending (the particle is underneath) but not quite the way it should. It also doesn’t bend to the sides. It seems to be getting pushed from underneath, but only in one direction.
It doesn’t really help that ASE and SG aren’t exactly the same in terms of functions and names, and I’m not that well versed in dealing with SG.
I have attached the Bending shadergraph and Particle shadergraph (that one actually works as intended), as well as two textures that I’m using from the tutorial. If anyone can help me out on this one or push me in the right direction I’d be really happy!
