Trying to understand the fps halving in VR

Hi,
I know that when you don’t reach the hz of the VR device fps drop to half, but the other day i was using builting rendering with a vr device with 90hz and i was getting around 60fps and i should get 45fps, however in URP never happened this, anyone can explain me what is going on?

As you mentioned, typically the FPS is halved (at least in SteamVR) if motion smoothing is enabled.

Which device and setup are you testing this on?
