Trying to upgrad from Free to Pro 3.5.6 - ILF file is not being downloaded

Hi there!

I’m trying to upgrade a Free Unity version to Pro 3.5.6 with a serial number I have bought.

I first tried the process out of unity using the “Help → Enter serial number” function. Unity froze every time, and even didn’t do anything after 15 minutes.

So I tried the manual activation, following the standard explanation: Manual/Offline Activation of Unity 3.x - Questions & Answers - Unity Discussions

It says:

But this DOES NOT happen. Nothing is being downloaded, and there is no popup blocker or anything like this as well.

What should I do now?

Is likely to be a problem with either the serial number or ILR that was generated. Drop the support team an email.

==SOLVED==

The following things solved it:

  1. Uninstall Unity.
  2. Remove the folder:
  • WinXP/Vista: C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/Pace Anti-Piracy/License Files
  • Win7: C:/ProgramData/PACE Anti-Piracy/License Files
  • Mac: HD/Library/Application Support/PACE Anti-Piracy/License Files
    (may be hidden, so unhide all folders in the windows folder settings)
  1. Restart computer.
  2. Install Unity.

Then finally Unity offered me on startup to save the ILR, that is needed to generate the ILF.
Everything works now.
