Game Features:

Looks cool game, why not just change this familiar GUI style, lots of people use ?
You can replace with one much more like the game style;
And for the menu characters animation, it is not look good when they both make the same animation cycle, you can shift one of them or even make another loop to the second character;

Yes updating GUI is possible, not to worried about the animation for the player select, but yep i can see how fine details make a difference! = )
