Turnkey solution for games.

Okay guys what do you think about this idea you have a game its a skeleton, there is some art. You sell it non-exclusively, but of course the problem is the art is going to be the same, but what if we had a “blue print” that the artist has to follow and he creates an asset bundle - so it should work – kind of like a black box. Now the artist sells the art “non-exclusively”, so we got the skeleton code game, the non-exclusive art now a new person can buy both, but maybe he wants something new - so the artist can now create the new artwork. Now eventually there could be a library of assets where the customers could download the asset bundles to see which ones they want.

So its a turnkey pre-made solution to gaming.

Code for hire shops have been doing this since the days of text adventures, reskinning/re-purposing their engine and content into different games, for clients and for themselves (because, bonus if a client pays for core development without an exclusivity contract).

I think it’s reasonable to suggest that a fair amount of the Asset Store’s existing contents are built around the same model/philosophy; whether it’s individual art assets or whole template projects.
