I am currently working on my first game, called Twist. I like to describe the game as literally being a 3D platformer with a Twist, the player must rotate the world in order to complete the game. So far I have most of the basic menus and options done and the core gameplay is finished.
So far I’m still messing around with the graphics and mostly creating levels, the game is due out on September 8th and I’m hoping to recruit some alpha testers before i release the game.
While the game does not look like much at the moment, it is quickly coming together and getting better, I’d really appreciate it if you guys could check out my other pages:
Just a quick update, I’ll be looking for some Alpha testers to help make the game as polished, bug-free and fun as it can get, if anyone is interested, send an email to:
Just back with a very quick update, I decided to try my hand at animating and I produced my first animation and got it into the game, I’ll be posting a video later tonight so here’s what I have for now:
I just tried the demo, plays well but it’s a bit too punishing. For example, if my foot touches the edge of a platform I’m immediately disqualified. It would be better if instead I lost control for a moment (like someone tripping over an obstacle) and then was given a chance to recover.
All in all, basic gameplay looks promising, keep up the good work!
Thanks very much for the feedback, I agree it is very punishing and I’m taking a few steps to try to reduce that, I’m reviewing the design on that level and there’s definitely some things I need to tweak.
Thanks for playing the game, I’ve nerfed that demo so I’ll probably upload it tonight, it was intended as more of a sneak peek I guess but nonetheless It’s something I should have done before uploading. About the hints, do you have any ideas how they would work to help make the game more intuitive?
