How do I link two cameras to a character controller and get the result in the image I have attached?
I tried attaching one more camera to the first person controller prefab and editing it’s clip planes to offset, but i couldn’t get the other camera to render with the original. Thanks
I’d say make the second camera a child of the first camera.

The first thing you might want to do is check the depth of the cameras. A camera with a higher number in the depth field will show up on-screen over one with a lower number for depth, IIRC (I always mess this up the first time around, as I forget depth means “depth in the rendering order,” which means higher numbers are rendered later, thus, on top of other cameras). If you’ve double checked that, make sure the foreground camera is set to clear at “Depth only.” Setting this allows the bg camera to show up “behind” the foreground camera.
