Is there any way to use a point light (or a spot light) with the new interactive cloth? I don’t see this in the docs, but it appears that it is only lit by forward rendered lights (ie. ambient light and directional lights) Also, does anyone have a working, 2 sided shader that would work with interactive cloth?
any news on this one? I’d like to hear too…
No news. Still only works with a directional light.
Are you saying that cloths don’t get lit at all by point lights or that the lighting effect is wrong? I seem to be getting illumination from a point light in a simple test scene without any problems.
I found you need to use deferred rendering for point/spot lights to work on the cloth renderer.
I can’t get a point light or spotlight to work with either Deferred Rendering or Forward Rendering. Any other tips? I’ve got the light shining bright on objects next to the cloth, but the cloth remains dark.
i am going to bump this also, I want to use Interactive cloth on a small part of my character, and the lighting is REALLY off… in my scene I am using a directional light in forward rendering mode, and apparently, it dulls my shader… Has anyone discovered a fix for this?
bump
Anyone know if 3.5 will help with this issue?
Bumping this thread… I just noticed that there is a definite bug in the cloth renderer… I rotated my model 90 degrees either way and the specular on my custom shader disappeared… if you keep it at 0, the shading is fine… very weird bug… and the shader I am using has two specular channels
Instead of bumping this thread, spend some time and fill in a proper bug report with a repro scene.
