U3B6 - Spotlights not working with Window builds + editor

Hi all,

Just downloaded U3B6 and am having issues with spotlights and cookies… just wondering if anyone else has had this before I fill out a Bug Report (it could be my machine).

Probs:

  1. Cookies are incorrect
  2. Spotlights not showing when running a Windows build.

Window Build:

I’m using Windows x64.

Is the cookie texture set to Repeat or Clamp ?

Generally it looks like that if it is (incorrectly) set to Repeat.

Yes, the cookie texture (standard asset) had come in as repeat, so clamp has fixed the tiling but there are some artifact on the clamped texture now (that may be the texture though).

Still can’t see any spotlights on my windows build.

Hi all,

Quick update on the U3b6 spotlight…

I run the basic project in the first post on my laptop and that seems to run fine (can see the spotlight).

Laptop Spec: WindowsXP x86, integrated graphics.

No Spotlights showing on a Windows build with my desktop: Windows Vist x64, nVidia 8800GT (newest drivers).

Wondering if anyone can do a quick ‘cube on a plane with a spotlight’ with Vista x64 and see if the spotlights are working?

Another quick update on this…

I sent my windows player build to a friend (Windows 7 32bit, nVidia 9600GT) and he can’t see any of the spotlights either.

So no spotlights on:
Vista x64 nVidia 8800GT
Win7 x86 nVidia 9600GT

But seems to be working on:
XP x86 Intel 950 Integrated Gfx

I’ve filled out a bug report, but any other Windows users had this?

Read the release notes… You might need that hotfix it links there for x64 Windows.

windows 7 64x. GTX470 no problems.
