Hi community, my team decided to join the UA 2009, its our first time. We just set up a development blog and hoping to gather comments and feedback for the game. Hoping to make a fun game to let everyone play.
Game Name: Dumpster Town
Game Description:
The game is about Orca, the main character, on his quest to save his brother which is captured by a evil organization. And you as Orca will have to fight your way to save your brother. A simple and straight forward storyline.
The gameplay will be have a free roam function and play will be moving around helping the town folks, earning gold and buying an entry ticket to fight the boss which capture your brother. You as the player will be doing mini games and
upgrading your weapon to defeat strong monster and boss.
Features:
Free roam : Player is able to move to wherever they want and do whatever they like, there is no fix path
-Mini Games: Something like quest but we put it as a main feature of the game. Helping people to earn karma points to for bonus…
-Type of Game: Each mini games are of different genre, player can choice what they like and play whichever they want.
-Upgrades: Each mini games have their own unique upgrade, a demo of the Mer game will have a upgrade function in a few days time.
-Environment: The town is a little fantasy as we are presenting the game in a chibi( big head small body) style, so doing fantasy and mech genre is what we are aimming for.
-Monsters: Each robots that player face are unique and has their own abilites, a guide will be presented soon.
Some here are some updates from the team, we have been changing some stuff and improving the game here and there. Put some textures in and the following is the imrpovise, Defence of the Mer mini game, its one of the mini game in Dumpster Town.

-Press “o” to hide cursor
Description: A sample of how the free roam will feel like in the game. Will be adding mouse camera movement as we found out its quite hard to move without the mouse.

WASD to move
Press ‘j’ to attack
Press ‘e’ to talk to NPCs
Press ‘q’ to reset camera angle.
*Ps: the game take quiet awhile to load due to its drawcall, a improvise version will be coming soon.
Ok folks! we got some updates, not major but still its a update! We tweak with the upgrading shop and thanks to our programmer for making it happen.
Add in semi-trans model, as the main focus is the weapon and sounds to tell users what are they clicking.
Texture and proper sound will be coming soon.
Description: A few updates since the last version. New environment and more waves. A total of 10. Boss waves are in the middle of the waves and upgrade shop have a few changes. A side scroller bar to change the rotation of the model. There is no amount for the upgrade yet but the prices are the same.

Here is some of the colour for the buildings in the game but i feel that smt is amiss. So as my team mate. We are gathering feedback. Hope we get some comments and make a nicer environment.
Hi all, here comes the beta build for our game . We’ve added CG movie, free-roam environment/4 sections, a main protagonist (Orca), GUI, and fitted nicely together with minigame.
Instructions:
Recommended Resolution - 1024*768 with FullScreen
Hit ‘Enter’ after the CG movie play finished, upon seeing a flashing box.
The GUI closes and opens upon loading.
Press ‘E’ to interact with the gates, which can transport the player to other sections. (A total of 4).
Press ‘E’ around the black box at the first section. A chat box will appeared. Hit ‘E’ all the way, and you will be brought to the , or ‘C’ to cancel.
Press ‘Space’ to start the wave, ‘u’ to go upgrade shop.
When the game finishes, you will be brought to a gameOver Screen.
