I have been trying to track down a direct answer for this but does UCB support plasticSCM, if not is there a timeline as to when it will be integrated?
I am currently shopping around for which version control system will best suit my project. I have used git extensively in the past for typical software applications but never with a Unity project.
From what I am reading it appears that PlasticSCM may be a better solution for version control over git considering its handling of large files as well as its direct plugin integration to the editor.
As a follow up, if there is no support for PlasticSCM with UCB, has anyone had any negative experience with using git with a unity project or would advise against it?
PlasticSCM is currently not supported. There is a discussion going on about PlasticSCM in Unity Cloud Build here. Would be great if you could continue your discussion there. It might be a good idea to create a feature request in the UCB section, read more about it why this is a good idea here. Don’t forget to advertise your feature request in the PlasticSCM thread so other can vote for it too!
