UCB team - build failures 29 July 2017 (and 30 July 2017)

The cloud build system is experiencing some network issues right now (midday US time, 29 July 2017) leading to some missing build and build failures. The source of the problem is being tracked down right now, more info to follow soon.

This should be back to normal. The network provider is looking to find the root cause of the issue now, but Cloud Build is now once again connecting to all of its relevant pieces.

Update: looks like the issue may not be fully resolved (we’re seeing some interruptions again), but the network carrier is actively working on the problem. For now: be aware that there may be some sporadic build failures or missing builds this afternoon as this is all straightened out.

Update: should be really resolved now, and connectivity’s looking good.

Update: we’re seeing some more network interruptions now; the vendor is engaged in resolving this now. (They had a hardware issue upstream from Cloud Build’s environment yesterday, but that was believed to have been fixed.) More to come.

Update: sure enough, a further related hardware issue at the provider was found and fixed this morning. They report that while no further interruptions should be expected, they’ll be keeping a close eye on it for awhile now - and the UCB team will too.
