I’m doing the Udemy AI Flight tutorial (by ImmersiveLimit). He’s using ML-Agents package 0.11. I’m using Github ML-Agents release 7, ML-Agents package 1.4.0 Preview. In the sample “Basic” scene, he has an “Academy” object, but I don’t see it in my scene. Is it the version that makes the difference, or something else?
Yes it’s the version difference.
Going from 0.x to 1.x is a major version bump, which means there will be breaking changes and will not be backward compatible.
Besides Academy not being a gameObject in the scene anymore, there’re many other changes that will prevent you to follow a tutorial from an old version.
I suggest you use the same version as the tutorial you’re following.
If someone encounters the same: he added new sections for ver. 1.0 but AFTER the old sections for ver 0.11. If you see [0.11] in the section title, skip to the next section labeled [1.0]. The content is repeated.
