Hello, after doing some searching I seem to come up with zero information about using UDIM UVs with Unity, is it supported or has anyone figured out a method to get it working?
Much thanks.
It’s not supported by default, its not something that normally is needed for games. However there are third party plugins, Graphine’s Granite and Amplify’s Amplify Texture 2 both add support for UMID UVs to Unity.
@33up it will be in unity i think, since it is a very nice feature and unity is pushing constantly to be a universal tool.
nowadays unity is not only used for games, as well for cinema shots, VR and many more things in realtime.
I think the Amplify udim texture streaming is very nice!
But i like to see it be a native functionality.
I often rebake multi meshes into one and making atlasses for performance in VR, it helps game, VR and other realtime renderings very much for better performance and lesser drawcalls.
i found this, and hope very much it will be in 2018 soon ![]()
