UGUI 'ghosting' effect when attached to HTC Vive controller

Hello!
I’m prototyping a game using my HTC Vive and controllers, and have attached some UI elements to a plane which itself is parented to the controller model, basically as mobile UI. When I move the controller, the UI elements appear to lag behind their actual position, leaving a sort of trail effect that’s very off-putting. I’m using the standard Vive plugin camera rig for the controllers.

Any help appreciated!

The issue appears to be fixed in version 5.3.5. The changelog states “UI: Fixed issue with double rendering of canvas on Vive VR.”
