UI is darker in some devices with Linear Color Space

Our team is developing a game for Android devices on Unity 2019.3.2 with Universal Render Pipeline.
The problem shows when we build it and test it, in some devices, specifically on Samsung (super AMOLED screens) the UI sprites are more darker (only sprites, text shows fine).
Doing some testing we encounter that this only happends in Linear Color Space, when we switch to Gamma the UI sprites shows fine, but of course we had the problem of innacurate colours because of Gamma Color Space.

I searched for some solutions and I encounter that this was a problem solved for newest editor versions (don’t know if was the exact same problem), so I tried to reproduce the problem on Unity 2019.4 and 2020.1beta, with same results.
I don’t know if the problem have something to do with super AMOLED screens or it was just coincidence.

btw sorry for my english, is not native.

I was also having this issue, and what fixed it for me was:

  1. Go to Project Settings ⇾ Android ⇾ Resolution and Presentation
  2. Change Blit type from Never to Auto or Always

Having it set to never means that color space conversions are done before screen space UI.
If this doesn’t work, you can try changing from Linear color space to Gamma.

Hopefully this helps someone else!
