UI World Space Cardboard - Need Help

Hi!
I am making a cross-platform game. It will work with a computer and VR (Cardboard).
At the beginning, I made a prototype for PC. I used a Screen Space Overlay Canvas to show my UI.
When I tried making it work with VR, I discovered that, in VR, world space UI is used and not Screen Space Overlay.

I made a world space canvas then. I attached it to my camera. Put it at some distance from the camera. But it does not display the same way.
I have a Text in the corner of my screen on PC. I would like to place this Text in the corner of the camera in VR.
The problem is that I am in the world space. I don’t know how I can put this text in the corner of the view since the view depends of my screen.

Check out the GoogleVR FPS prefab. I explain how to use this at 6m13s on this video:

Thanks a lot !

Hey Selzier and Keandan. I’m posting here since I’m juste trying to have the fps on my device in cardboard so I can test different solutions to improve fps. I followed your instructions and the canvas does appear in unity but when I build the app, it doesn’t appear. Did I miss something? The Canvas is a child of the camera, the only change if I compare with you is that I had to update both right and left cameras to add some image effect.

PS: I am doing an app for my thesis and all your tutorials helped me so much Selzier, I will never be thankful enough.
Sorry for the bad english.

You’re welcome Jaina, thanks for supporting my channel

One question, this sounds like a bug with Unity 5.3, what version of Unity are you using?

Unfortunately, I’m using 5.5.1 :frowning:
If you have any ideas why it wouldn’t work, I will be pleased.

Edit: one day I built the app and it works! Thanks anyway
