I’m just following the instructions in the course “Welcome to 2D Beginner: Adventure Game” to create a new 2D project in unity, in order to play the example 2D adventure game. However, the statment “Creating Project folder failed!” pop up every time. I am unable create any 2D project, no matter which editor version I choose. I don’t know what’s the problem. Could anyone help me?
Well, the problem is solved.
But I do have something to say.
Firstly, I don’t understand why the search engine in this discussion forum is so useless that it just show me tons of irrelevant posts, which is a waste of time glancing through them. Then I set up my own post to ask this question and have no reply. Then I search again through google and found exactly what I need in the first post, which direct me back to this forum with the right topic. Haha! It seems that I really have no need to log in this forum and play with the robot in order to set up a post here. Just search in google is fine.
Secondly, I found that many people have experienced the same problem with me, in about 2 years ago, from that post. Again, I don’t understand why the Unity operators don’t make any instructions in the tutorials which teach us to create project, regarding this issue. It would help the new users a lot if the tutorial have mentioned the correct location to save projects from the start.
Hi, @DolphinOwl!
Thank you so much for the constructive + thoughtful feedback. I will say, at this point, that we’re working super hard to clean up Discussions and making it a helpful space for you to make your games.
That being said, we still have so much to do and seeing this post confirms that - on making this space better AND supporting you better while using Unity.
I’ll come back with more to say later but just wanted to reply because me and a team member saw this. <3
Here if you need anything more!
