Unable to install iOS build on previously working device. Stuck on "Detect device"

Yesterday morning I was able to install an iOS build but last night and today I get stuck on the Detect Device button. When I click it, the page briefly flashes a 404 page, then loads for a few seconds before leading either back to the projects list (sometimes with this “Unable to load deploy targets” error), or it leads straight back to the same Detect device button.

I’ve attached screenshots of what the Detect device button, 404 page and error look like. Any help would be appreciated.

I just read Victor’s response about using “share link” and it worked. Unity Dashboard does not let me install iOS builds

In addition to the workaround we have rolled back the deploy of the unified dashboard and also have a hotfix for this specific issue expected later today.

Hi, what’s the ETA on the fix for this?

Is it not working now? This issue was fixed last week and tested several times before deploy. I’ll get this tested again to see if there’s anything we can replicate and fix. In the meantime if you are still running into problems then the share link workaround should still be working without issue.

No, it’s not working for me, and two members of my team contacted me separately this morning. I’ve told the team about the share link workaround for now.

Today we’re also getting stuck at the “detect device” step on iOS, on devices that were working before.

We have a fix for this now, currently working to test and release it ASAP.

The fix has been released, let me know if you’re still encountering issues.

We just checked and we still have the same issue - we are stuck on Detect Device. The share link workaround fixes this for us.

Yeah in the end we’re rolling back this change again. Sorry about the inconvenience, getting everything to work perfectly with this new setup has been a nightmare.

Bumping this as it was never resolved for me, and my team are widely complaining again today (i.e. something has changed in the past 24 hours)

Our team is also still experiencing issues that sound related to this.

  1. Feels like loading takes much longer, sometimes following a build email install link will get the browser stuck in a loading loop (only tried on iOS).
  2. Can no longer scroll pages in the cloud interface, including cloud build. This makes it impossible to install builds!

Are you looking into this?

Why does it happen repeatedly ???

It still doesnt work. Endless loop of redirect and doesn’t installs anymore

Stuck on loading animation (rotating blue circle), dashboard doesn’t load.

Still experiencing this issue. As paying users it would be nice to get some kind of a comment on when we can expect a fix

Try deleting the provisioning profile for your app (in Settings → General) and then install again. Also, share links will work without issue.

What version of iOS are you running on your phone? Looks like the new dashboard does not support iOS versions < 10 and I don’t think that the team will be interested in changing that due to the tiny market share for those devices.

I have an iPhone 5 running 10.3.3 (latest for that model). That really sucks as that’s my only iOS device to test my builds…

As far as I know it should be working on iOS 10.3.3 but I have no devices to test that on so I can’t confirm it for myself. You could try using Safari inspector to see what errors are appearing in the console, there might be something we can look into. In general it’s quite hard for us to support older iOS versions though, Apple does not provide good tools to let us diagnose and reproduce mobile issues. It could also be worth deleting your cookies and seeing if that changes anything.
