Unable to open project - Corrupt Window Layout

This isn’t like other Corrupt Window Layout message : it only occurs with one project file. I can open other projects just fine.

It’s an urgent project. Any feedback on restoring the project file will be appreciated!

Edit:
Using Unity3D 2.6.1 Pro
No prior version of Unity3D installed
Using Window 7 Ultimate, 4 GB, GTS 100 Nvidia
No problem opening other projects.
Tried changing the date/region setting to English/UK but doesn’t solve the problem

If you don’t have a backup to restore from, try contacting support@unity3d.com - they might be able to help you salvage the project.

I guess I am also interested in preventing this from happening. It’s harrowing…
