I’ve just updated to Snow Leopard on my mac. Now Unity now longer runs.
When i launch from the dock the icon bounces, i get the little light on underneath the icon… then it just stops and closes.
Anyone else having any problems like this? Any ideas how to fix it?

potentially the upgrade messed with the folder that contains the prefs and/or license.
thanks for the reply…
can you suggest how it could be sorted out? At the moment i’m unable to use the product.
I have had other issues that seem to revolve around permissions after upgrading, just wondering if that has something to do with it. But suprised that no one else seems to have encountered the same, or similar, problems.
my copy of Unity iPhone behaves in exactly the same way. there’s a big chunk of change sitting there on my mac, unavailable…
Sadly not as it all went fine.
But granted that you have permission hickups, did you consider letting the harddisk manager check the whole permisions on the osx partition / drive once to see if there was some kind of upgrade failure / power based messup on the harddisk?
It would be best to send an e-mail to support@unity3d.com if you are having persistent problems with this.
dreamora - tried repairing permissions, but that didn’t help. it did find some permission issues, though, so thanks for the tip.
andeeee - i’m currently working through this with one of Unity’s support team who’s being really helpful. Hopefully i can get to the bottom of it and post a solution if/when this is resolved.

I’ve got Snow Leopard and Unity is working fine. One thing to note is that I installed Unity AFTER the upgrade to Snow Leopard, so it might have just been the install process that pooched Unity.
You might try reinstalling Unity. Make sure to back up all of your projects and everything first. If you’re paranoid (like me), you can boot from your OSX install disk and use Disk Utility to make an image of your system first.
Hope you get it running!
