I have read all posts concerning this topic and still nothing has worked for me. I want to test my scene in unity on my computer, resp. VR Quest 1.
Running on Windows
Oculus Quest 1 correctly linked and active in Oculus app
Oculus XR Plugin updated to latest Version 4.1.2 (Nov. 9, 2023)
Oculus App closed, Unity closed, computer restarted all done.
Also tried and reinstalled.
Still getting the same error message, when hitting start.
Unable to start Oculus XR Plugin.
Possible causes include a headset not being attached, or the Oculus runtime is not installed or up to date.
If youāve recently installed or updated the Oculus runtime, you may need to reboot or close Unity and the Unity Hub and try again.
UnityEngine.Debug:LogWarning (object)

UnityEngine.XR.Management.XRGeneralSettings:AttemptInitializeXRSDKOnLoad () (at ./Library/PackageCache/com.unity.xr.management@4.4.0/Runtime/XRGeneralSettings.cs:148)
Anybody with any new ideas from the ones I already tried?
Hi Sandra, Have you tried deleting all library folderās content. Unity will build it from scratch. Not very time consuming. This fixed many erratic error messages/behavior for meā¦Robert
Iāve been getting this today. It was because I installed the Steam Link app on my Quest, and pairing that to my PC made SteamVR the default OpenXR runtime. To fix it, go into the Oculus PC app, in Settings/General, look for āOpenXR Runtimeā and click the button that says āSet Oculus as activeā.
