Unallowed file type - 3DS?

We use Blender for all our 3d needs. I read on another thread that we can’t use .blend files in Asset Store packages. I was surprised today when I went to submit my new package to see the following message:

Unallowed file type: ***.3ds

Ok that’s fine, but what types are allowed that Blender exports as? I’m blocked from submitting until we figure this out :frowning:

Thanks in advance,
-Brian

.3ds should be allowed.
There is also .fbx (recommended), .dae, or .obj.

As I stated, we are using Blender. fbx is a proprietary format for a different program, 3DSMax. fbx is not a choice for us.

I need to ask why the heck is 3ds not allowed? I believe all programs will export as that. I believe we can do dae…but still I have the question.

Blender cannot import .fbx … but it can export it.

I export FBX from Blender all the time. It works perfectly fine.

you can’t submit 3D files other than .fbx, all the others need to be compressed to a .zip if I remember well. otherwise your submission won’t be processed.

Right you guys are…I’m blind lol. Thanks, this is now submitted!
