Unity 2019.2.6f1 crashing on clients, new error

I update my project for the newest unity and now I’m getting new crash errors on google play, these did not exist when using previous versions.

The exact same error ocurred on the following devices:

Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 (gts4lwifi), Android 9
Samsung Galaxy S8+ (dream2lte), Android 9
Samsung Galaxy J6+ (j6primelte), Android 9
Samsung Galaxy J6 (j6lte), Android 9
LGE LG Aristo (lv3), Android 7.0

The game had about 9.000 new installs on this new version, the error ocurred for a few clients.

I only use Unity with Unity Ads, Unity IAP and this plugin : GitHub - playgameservices/play-games-plugin-for-unity at android-java-client

I have this crash on Unity 2019.2.6 too. Does anyone know how to fix this error? Thanks so much.

So this is because of Unity 2019.2.5

Android: Improve error messages for cases where android application fails to load libmain.so. Previously it was printing "Unable to find main", now it will print "Failed to load 'libmain.so', the application will terminate.", additionally it will print exception from System.loadLibrary with detailed info, where the application was looking for libmain.so

The error means, the application package is missing native libraries… there are several issues which can cause this, but all related to app bundles. Some of those should have been fixed by Google.

Some can be workarounded like mentioned here - Google Issue Tracker, see this thread Native method not found: com.unity3d.player.UnityPlayer.nativeRestartActivityIndicator:()V page-4 and search for ProjectGeneratorCallback.cs. You only need this workaround, if you’re allowing your app to be installed on SD card.

Also if you get this on Google Play Console, can you copy paste the exception title, right now I only see the stacktrace.

By the way, I see Unity 2019.2.7 fix this error: “Mobile: [Android] Crash in java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError when application location is changed to SD card on Android device (1181365)”

It’s in Known Issues section, thus it’s not yet fixed. The backport is still pending

I updated Unity to 2019.2.12, and it fixed my problem.
But I dont understand about “android.bundle.enableUncompressedNativeLibs=false”. What is that mean?
I dont see that config in mainTemplate.gradle.


Please explain it for me. And do I have to add this config to mainTemplate.gradle?

Please read release notes carefully, it’s gradle.properties, not mainTemplate.gradle

No idea about the crashes, also it more looks like a suspended app, the crash may have happened on other threads

I’m facing the same issue and I have been seeing the same kind of error all around the forums. But anyone have a true fix for it, what is the official position?
