Does anyone know the status of Unity 3.0 and iPhone?
If I preorder, is there a beta version available now?
Not yet. Hopefully soon – I’m guessing within the month.
They will post the appropriate announcements when it’s time.

I preordered Unity 3 for iPhone a few days ago. Is it recommended that I activate the serial on Unity iPhone 1.7 or should I wait until 3.0 is released?
I just activated the new serial in in Unity iPhone 1.7.
The mail I got from sales started with the following sentence:
I mailed 4 weeks ago to sales about a public beta status. At that time they told it should be somewhere released by now.

you can activate 1.7 and work with it already, no problem there
