Unity 3.1.0f4?

Was Unity 3.1 updated since the official release? I was pretty sure the official release was 3.1.0f3 but just downloaded the application again for a clean re-installation and now it seems it’s 3.1.0f4. Or is my memory failing me? :face_with_spiral_eyes:

That’s the second update just out - not sure what changed from f3 - f4…

Yes, that’s a new version… I tried to found some info about this update, but there’s no mention of it anywhere. Could Unity team provide “Check for Updates” section with additional info (changelogs)?

Change log please :confused: I really need the change log to be in the open as a professional… when my primary 3D deployment package gets updated I need to see it; if it were Maya or Max i wouldn’t care… but it effects the output of my binaries.

Unity 3.1.0f4 is a hot fix for a small set of critical issues we just released a few hours ago. The change list will be live when we push the web site up later today, but here it is for reference:

Mac Web Plugin: Fixed an incompatibility with a recent version of QuickTime, which caused the web player to stop working on some machines.
Win Web Plugin: Fix the bug where Firefox hogs all CPU resources when Web Player tab is inactive
Editor: Fixed a crash bug when using Undo after closing the Asset Store
Mac Editor: Fixed an Asset Store crash bug on some machines with an incompatible version of WebKit
Runtime: Fix for broken tree billboard transitions.

Edit: Changes are now live at Unity 6000.0.10

I just installed it, and I can’t launch Unity anymore. I get the splash screen and after 3 seconds it shuts down. On PC, Windows 7 64-bit.

Haven’t tried yet on Mac.

@Jonas - Just lucky timing on my part I guess, thanks for the info!

@Onyx - I’ve just given it a quick test on both my machines and it seems to load up fine. One is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and the other is running OS X 10.6.5.

Strange. The process is not even crashing, just stopping (quitting). Do you know where I can download the previous version by any chance?
