Unity 3.1 .dmg not recognized

Hi, I downloaded unity 3.1 from this link http://download.unity3d.com/download_unity/unity-3.1.0.dmg. When the download was complete, i double click on the .dmg and it says file not recognized

please help I really need unity 3.1 for a project!

it doesnt work on my mac!

I just downloaded from the link you provided. I got:

graham$ ls -l unity-3.1.0.dmg 
-rw-r--r--@ 1 graham  staff  637639631 29 Nov  2010 unity-3.1.0.dmg
graham$ md5 unity-3.1.0.dmg 
MD5 (unity-3.1.0.dmg) = 667a22bc10cffdcc7ede1463f93b2c0f

This DMG opened, and I could start the install process. (I did not complete it, since I don’t want/need this version on my Mac right now.) You might want to compare the file size and md5 hash against mine, to see if you have a corrupt or incomplete dmg.
