Unity 3.4 Scripts Wont Open

So I downloaded Unity 3.4, and I can’t open any scripts. I click on the script and click open, but nothing ever opens. This is becoming really annoying because Unity requires a lot of scripts :rage:

Any ideas?

It’s probably something to do with mono develop. You might want to try switching to UniSciTE.

Open Unity>click Edit>Preferences>then click the “General” tab>In the external script editor click the drop down menu and select browse>Then Navigate to your Unity 3.4 folder (it should be in Program Files or Program Files(x86)) then go to these folders> Editor> Data> Tools> UniSciTE> Then select UniSciTE.exe.

Let me know if this works. Some people said that UniSciTE is broken in 3.4, but it might work…

Or might want to try notepad++. Am using it and no problem except no jumping to lines. Might want to check this out if you intend to use n++ but last step isn’t working in 3.4. (the jump to line)

Real mature. Can you change your location? that attitude doesn’t have any place on unity forums.

Now you mentioned it. I realized. Yeah i think it’s offensive and this isn’t some sort of underground forum or what. It’s a place for unity development. :smile:

scripts wont open in the new version of unity (unity 4). i dnt know what to do i tried every thing… plz help guys

rush rage game how did you know there is another alternative for scripting.im have use it and it works very well
