Very nice !
And all those fixes … yummmm
Great to see Unity 3 is still getting updates.
Indeed! This is a pleasant surprise. I figured updates would die with the launch of 4.0
Ist it just me? 3.5.7 does not load the asset store, 4.0 does. Anyone else has this problem?
Working fine here.
@helioxfilm does this happen every time you load the Asset Store.
It does for me. Getting the infamous :
“Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with known CA certificates url: https://kharma.unity3d.com/”
Although, it doesn’t happen when I’m on my Mac (on same network).
(yes I checked firewall, antivirus, etc, nothing helps)
Sent a ticket 2 monthes ago, never got any answer ![]()
Yes, it does. I just checked right now again. The window comes up, I’m logged in, my prev purcheses are available, but otherwise the window is empty, the under “categories” I see: loading.
I was working fiene before the upgrade.

We’ve had a track record of replying/resolving bugs in the high ninety percents on all the 4.0 builds we’ve released so far.
Bugs reported in 3.5 with a description saying sometimes or on one particular system is practically ignored at this stage, we would have to receive those in large numbers to react. We do this simply because its of the greatest value to the community and the product as whole. So the fastest way of getting a flaky 3.5 issue fixed is to reproduce and report the same issue on 4.0. If its a really critical issue you can raise awareness of it on the forum.
But if 4.0 is working on the same machine I’m certain our answer would be: good thing you have the mac, use the asset store from there. For 3.5.x releases we’re aiming at stability and critical fixes. Fixing a problem with the asset store for a small minority of 3.5 customers at the risk of messing up the asset store for the vast amounts of 3.5 customers this late in the product cycle is not really an option. You could of course try the obvious and reinstall Unity, but I’m guessing you already tried that.
I hope you can understand our priorities on this. If the problem still exist on 4.0 please submit the ticket right away and post the bug number here. And I’ll make sure it gets to the top of the queue.
Sincerely
Joen
Anyways, last time we had the same error message it was related to a certificate that expired. I do believe we did some asset store restructure when we released 4.0, so it might be related. However its strange that it should only affect some customers.
Yup, did reinstall U3.5 of course :>
Is there some kind of other folder, containing local certificates, that doesn’t get destroyed at uninstall ?
Maybe if I delete it manually, and let the reinstall restore, it could solve the problem ?
I used the Asset Store without any problem until the 3.5.7 upgrade, even when 4.0 trial and my 3.5.6f4 Pro co-existed on my Mac.
Interesting, I’ll try to reach a few people and ask them for comments on what was changed.
Hi heliox, I notice that from the image you posted in your post, some of your private details are visible in the top right hand corner. If you are fine with that, then ok, but if this slipped your attention, consider this an alert.
Me personally, if I were to post something like that, I would try and make sure that as many private details are blacked out in an image editing program. Its each ones personal policy. Just my 2 cents
Hi, yes, I know that, thanks for the post anyway. I might blur it, just to save IRL privacy.
And done ![]()
ok
Just Checking
And the plot thickens… apparently we didn’t change anything at all. Try creating a bug with the bug reporter and send me the number so I can take a look at your log files. Also could you try installing your old 3.5.6? I just want to make sure that 3.5.6 and 3.5.7 is behaving identical.
Asset Store is not loading for me either under 3.5.7 (OSX). Has been like this since the update.
3.5.6f4 on OSX loads the Store, no problems.
