Unity 3.5 can't display negative tiling in UV?

I’m making a 2d game and normally I set the tiling to (-1,1) to make the character turn around. But after upgrading to 3.5, I found the (-1,1) can’t display, which means I saw nothing. Is it because of 3.5?

Now I get to know a little bit. That’ because I set the texture to GUI and Repeat, rather than Texture. That’s because it would turn blur if I set it as a Texture.
In the previous version, I can set it Repeat even it’s a GUI. But in Unity3.5, this option is disappeared so I guess it’s set as Clamp by default.

NOW who could tell me how to solve this?
