Unity 3.5 web plug-in: Mouse ScrollWheel doesn't work on Safari MacOSX

It works great on Chrome, Firefox on the Mac (Lion).
On Safari the Mouse Scrollwheel is muted, doesn’t return any value.

There’s any fix I’m not aware of that works on all browsers on Mac ?

Hi there,

Unfortunately a bug was introduced into the new.ish now Safari 6 version in which mouse scroll wheel events are not recognised, we have reported this to Apple and awaiting a fix.

Thanks,
Chris

Thanks you for letting us know!

any news? Still doesn’t work…
Lion + Safary 6.0.3

This is still an issue, it’s been 2 years.

My MBP doesn’t have a scroll wheel. I suspect Safari doesn’t support a scroll wheel because Apple assume no Apple users will have a scroll wheel.

Issue is identical for trackpad scrolling on a new macbook pro. If you use the trackpad, you can see that the page is getting moved around even when webplayer clearly has focus. Going fullscreen with the webplayer makes scrolling work correctly.

Yes, but we can blame Apple about this, not Unity Technology. How Graham is saying, Apple machines has magic mouse or magic tab to control the machine, and yes, you can attach a regular PC mice, but its wheel will be not recognized by Safari as a scrolling device. Stupid enough, since this was introduced with OSX Lion, and is never been fixed…

So even a regular compatible mouse scroll wheel will work in full screen ?
This is bad anyway, because usually web players are 4:3 but all the new monitors are 16:9 / 16:10
