Unity 3.5

Is there a way to buy Unity 3.5 Pro instead of buying 4.0 Pro? For me, buying 4.0 Pro will entail an additional $400 purchase if I want to continue planned platform deployment.

Unity 3 hasn’t been sold since around June of last year, so that’s not possible.

I’m not sure where that conclusion comes from.

I was given the impression that, in order to continue using my Android deployment license, that I would have to repurchase it for 4.0 That’s an extra cost on top of the initial one.

Afaik buying 4, allows you to be licensed for older versions available from the archive. Verify this then proceed.

However this is assuming you have the pro version of android for 3.x. If that was the case you would already have unity pro, since you’re not allowed to have mobile pro with unity free.

Assuming this to be the case you must be planning a bolt-on additional mobile target. Unless you’re horribly confused and think that basic mobile requires pro - it doesn’t. It works fine with free.

Maybe you should be clearer.

There is an upgrade price for your Android license… it’s not the full $400.

There’s never a case where you have to repurchase anything. There’s an upgrade cost ($150) for Android Basic 3.x to 4.x, but that’s not related to buying Pro and isn’t required in any case, unless of course you want to develop for Android using Unity 4.
