Unity 3.b won't run without license?

Hi all, I have previously had a Unity 3.4 Pro trial installed on my machine, but it has expired. Now, when I try to run Unity 3.5b I get a popup message saying my trial has expired, and when I press renew nothing happens.

It was my understanding the beta didn’t need a license? Thanks for any help.

It should have the same permissions as you had with 3.4. So you can run it free, just not with the pro features.
