Unity 3: Cookies and the Beast

I can’t seem to get Beast to take cookies into account when it’s baking it’s lightmap.

Neither spotlight cookies nor point-light cookies seem to have any influence :frowning: The lightmap always comes out as though the lights were set to “none” cookies.

Is this how it’s meant to work or is it a bug ?

“none” cookies? That’s no good… everyone likes cookies

I can’t remember a case where we’ve tested cookies and lightmapping so it might have gotten past us… I’ll do a little test tonight and if it’s truly not working I’ll file a bug so it gets fixed before 3.0 release.

Alright, good catch… filing a bug on this.

isnt a lack of cookies one of the signs of the end of the world?

I have a large stash of Oreos in my pantry just in case

Ok, cool, I’m happy to hear that I have successfully reported a bug. Good luck with it.

The beast must accept cookies! This will be a crucial step towards taming the beast.

Woo Hoo! Cookies are working properly in the newest version! Thanks Unity team =D

Hi, I hate to drag this old thread out, but I just noticed that cookies are only working for spot lights and not point lights.

This is pretty annoying for me, but I guess I can work around it.

I’m using Unity 4.5.2f1 and I can’t get cookies to work on any light type in Beast. Can someone confirm that whatever this thread says about “Now it works!!!”, something has stopped working again?
And IF people actually has this working, please explain me how? Because the cookies work fine, I can see them realtime. But when I bake, they are completely ignored…

I haven’t tried it in ages, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it broke some time in the last 4 years.

Kinda a non issue right now though with enlighten coming out so soon.
