unity&3ds Max Importing

hey i have a question when i have my 3ds models done with textures on it than it looks fine and real textures all fit.

But when i export it with 3ds max 9 i do. file/export/export selected/ than file type FBX. than i copy the FBX file and the textures map to the assets of unity the folder

than it shoud look the same as in 3ds max but it doesnt the model it self looks fine but the textures are wrong aplyed by unity

so is this a problem of unity or the export settings of max??. please help me....

We need more information... Does the material on Unity Inpector find the right texture? Could you add some screenshot maybe (on Max) on Unity Renderer and with the Unity Inspector...

It sounds like you haven't unwrapped (or at least UV mapped) your models. There are a lot of tutorials for UVW Unwrapping and although it may seem difficult, it is in fact just time consuming.
